WHAT'S NEWS
Robots in Architecture
Swiss architects Fabio Gramazio and Matthias Kohler have designed innovative buildings. Now they’re using robots to create even more astonishing designs. The duo combines the precision and repeatability of robotics and a wide range of materials to explore novel shapes and structures, some of which would be nearly impossible to achieve without robots. Though their creations thus far are limited in size, Gramazio and Kohler are currently exploring the idea of applying robotic fabrication to the design and construction of high-rise buildings. Do you think future homes and buildings will be constructed by robots?
