Urgent & Important....Someone please respond...

One guy got 180 marks in AIEEE(As per analysis he is getting a rank
around 10200 to 11400) ..And he is having a chance for management seat
in AMRITA...And he have to say his decission to AMRITA
management(whether he is going to join or not) by today evening...He
is willing to take ECE or EEE or Mech...And he is from Andhra
Pradesh..So he doesn't want to go to too far NIT's..Any solution????

as far as his rank is considered,he need not go too far if he can take
mech. but he has to decide his priority.....

180 marks in aieee is a good score.but u cant get ece,eee,mech in near by NITs.u have to wait for so many iterations in aieee to get good branch.that too a bit risky.amritha is a good campus.but life in nit is a bit nice than that of amritha.but u can get good branch in good NIT if u wait for 4 iterations.i assure u that.

if he waits for 3-5 rounds of councelling  u absuloutly hav chance of getting desired branch in good NIT!!!1 and if u got any reservatoins it will help u soo uch!!!

if you take ece in best colleges like nit's you can have best opportunities if you get ece in amrita better to join in that

If he does not have a serious branch preference, its better if he waits for AIEEE. It is risky though.
But a management seat at Amritha is not so worthy. As he is not willing to go far off.. A management seat in good private colleges of AP will do, in case he doesnt get a good one in AIEEE.

well he doesnt wanna go too far so as chandu said its not worth buying a seat in amrita..i dont say its a bad colg bt wid a rank of 'round 10K in ai3e, its squandering money if u join in amrita....but u may not get ece eee or mech in, not jus warangal, but in any of the top 5 nits unless he/she is bc/sc/st....so if tht guy/girl is very very very particular abt ece eee mech, then its definitely worth spending money to go to amrita....give it a thought and make a wise decision....all the very best!!!!

well xpected rank is around 25-40k....so...ummm....u wanna go for nit's like trichi/warangal etc, u hav to compromise wen it comes to the branch....but particular abt branch, then hav to go for new nit's...think wat u want to prefer....branch or nit.....all the very best!!!!

if u wanna a good branch in top nit's u may not get so prefer someother best colleges which are equal to nit's with best branches in it.I think its impossible to get good rank take another option

u can get a good seat in  nearby NITs like Rourkela, Durgapur...
and u have state reservation for NIT W... So its better if u wiat for 2-3 counsellings in AIEEE dude....
But ur rank may be above 10000-12000...

u may get civil n chemical in many NITs ............
but u should wait till the last counseling and its a bit risky but
if u really get 10000-12000 and a bit lucky u can get better branches
in the secondary nits.
the cutoff for civil in nit calicut is 16000 last year but got it in
the 5th counseling.so thing about it

i guess you may not get a good branch 
if u will to take biotech or chemical 
then u have a chance of getting seat it might be risky bcoz u have to wait for atleast two iterations(conselling)..
