Hi Team!
I hope that are all doing well. I keep having the saying "The end of days" come through my head given the fire-darkened orange skies, falling ash, falling snow in September, and record heat (all in the last week) on top of the pandemic. But I continue to push forward!
  • Thanks to all of you who helped with the summer push to create and edit the chapters in Google Docs. Eight of the ten chapters have now been moved over to https://engineeringstatics.org through some Herculean work from Will Haynes. Please visit that site and check out the fruits of our labor :). We also have two chapters left to put into the website (Centroids and Moments of inertia). Will, Eric, and I are piloting the use of the book this Fall.
  • Will and I are working to develop a workflow for comments/feedback. For now, my students and I have been using Hypothesis, which requires a free account, but that may change going forward. I'll be in touch on that front.
  • We also wanted to solicit feedback on some notation items. Please fill out this Google Survey https://forms.gle/8WAePLZWTRpcgsUq8 by the end of next week Friday, September 18
Once we have the last two chapters online, I'll reach out to ask for your help in another round of proofreading :)

Best, Dan

Any other votes in the Notion Survey https://forms.gle/8WAePLZWTRpcgsUq8, I only have 3 so far? Currently we have some solid spilt decisions :)
Thank you!
Dan
