Ad Hoc Networking Research "Progress"
It turns out that there may not be sufficient ad hoc networking
expertise here at FAU. We have to rely on our own detective skills to
determine a way to get the android mobile devices to communicate with
each other. A good first step would be to establish a single access
point communication and then evolve the implementation to where the
devices communicate with each other.
Application Modeling
We have kicked off the modeling of the Relative Indoor Firefighter
Locator application. I will make an effort to capture these models in
Microsoft Visio and expand upon them. As of now we have an abstract
implementation of the scenario where the first responder goes prone
for an extended period of time.
Test Procedures for Senor Values
In order to have an idea of the "comfort zones" a first responding
user operates in we will need to test for the typical ranges of
accelerometer values we get while doing the basic motions. The test
procedures will be outlined by Chris while I will concoct a simple
program for capturing and saving those values.
