Victorious Show Where To Watch

Nickelodeonhas created a ton of amazing content for children for the last few decades. I myself grew up watching the channel religiously. One of the shows that has always stuck out to me over the years is Victorious, which will be the show that I am going to analyze. Victorious is a television show that shows the life of talented high school student Tori Vega and her friends at a performing arts school in Hollywood.

The show features many notable stars like Ariana Grande, Elizabeth Gillies, and Victoria Justice. Victorious can be classified as having a target audience of ages 10-13. This age group would typically be made up of children entering or already in middle school, so grades 5-8. Upon watching the show it is made clear that it is meant for those between the ages 10-13. The show is not outwardly inappropriate, but the jokes are more mature and the show has plot lines meant for mature viewers. Since the characters of this show are high school students, it makes sense that the audience of this show would be middle schoolers.

Children enjoy watching shows the characters in a stage above them. Elementary students like watching middle schoolers, high schoolers enjoy watching college students, and why middle schoolers enjoy watching the high school lives of the cast of Victorious. Many of the jokes in the show are at the expense of another character, meaning they draw laughs from mocking something about another character. Similarly, the show contains a lot of sarcasm in its dialogue.

It has been said that children of younger ages (specifically around the age of 5 and under) are not able to understand sarcasm. Since this show relies heavily on sarcasm for its humor, children of that age group would not find this show to be funny. A reason why it would not be a good fir for children ages 6-9 is because of the plot points. Since these characters are in high school they have mature storylines, such as dating, cheating, and fights. These themes may not be suitable for a child of those ages and they may not be able to follow those relationship dynamics. Victorious, like a lot of the content that comes out of Nickelodeon, is made for the purpose of entertainment and does not focus on educating its audience. With that being said, I do believe Victorious is a great and important show for children to watch and there is some things children can learn from it. For starters, watching the character dynamics in the show can be helpful for children to see how different friendships work.

There have been many a conspiracy theory made on this but it seems to be true. There is even an entire episode where they all feel each-others feet after pukka fish pedicures. Feet are mentioned a lot in this show quite often and its quite strange when you notice it. Apparently, if you look at more of his shows you see this trend a lot.

In 5th place: Begging on your Knees, okay, I know I talked a lot of crap about Tori as a character, but this song is a certified bop. Plus she also got all of the other girls that this guy used and put them into this performance. Put him in his place.

A few months ago, I saw that a full episode of Drake and Josh that had been uploaded on YouTube. I immediately watched it, but was soon disappointed to find the jokes outdated and the runtime padded with laugh tracks. The acting was sub-par and it felt like a betrayal to high esteem I had held the show in for years.

I began to watch Victorious the day it came out and was pleasantly surprised. The acting from most of the cast was solid and believable, the songs remain pleasant to listen to, and the story arks are still interesting. But rewatching the show years later and with a greater understanding of what makes a good TV show, there were some let downs.

The first letdown of the show was the over-reliance on Victoria Justice. Because she is the star of the show, there is not a single episode she was not included. Due to this dependence on her, it took until the third season for the backstory of almost any other character to be explained or explored. No matter how liked and remembered they are, many characters still felt unfinished and ignored after the finale.

My final complaint after rewatching the show is that too many plotlines were reused. Two whole episodes were dedicated to one character, Robbie, who almost loses his best friend/puppet Rex. In two consecutive episodes during season two (episodes four and five), Tori is given the spotlight in for a play or school event while Jade spends the whole episode trying to sabotage Tori. The plotlines in these episodes felt nearly identical and hurt the overall season.

Michael Taffe is a senior and a veteran member of the NASH Uproar. He enjoys writing about politics, current events, and memes. In addition to the Uproar, Michael is involved in Model United Nations and Marching Band.

Though this Nickelodeon show did not get a second season, fans of Victorious may find this one a great rebound watch after they finish binging Victorious. Though the show did moderately well, the premise of the show was somewhat shaky.

One of the best things about Victorious was its approach to the performing arts, and though Hannah Montana does not exactly delve into performance institutions, it does take a deep dive into how difficult it is being a teenager and balancing several things at once.

One of the consistent themes in Drake and Josh was how teenagers need to learn to live with people who are not exactly like them, which is why it makes for such good young adult TV. Victorious also tries to build storylines along similar lines and succeeds in getting the message right.

The element of the misfit sibling will also resonate with Victorious fans. Drake and Josh follows the life of two step-brothers who are very different from each other. One is a popular high school musician, while the other is a nerd.

Both The Carrie Diaries and Victorious have a major "finding-yourself" component and both feature teen protagonists who are yet to figure out what they want to do with their lives. In Victorious, Tori has to find a niche for herself in a competitive school for talented kids, while coming to terms with her love for music and acting.

The characters attend Hollywood Arts, a high school full of talented, creative students, where they sing (amazing songs) whenever they can and make rather hilarious jokes. However, the most important character is played by Leon Thomas III, who plays Andr Harris: the subject of this piece and who should have been the eye candy on the show.

The writers continuously teased viewers with a potential relationship between Tori and Andr. But that never evolved either, because how could they possibly illustrate an interracial couple despite maintaining a ridiculous amount of sexual tension throughout the entire first season?

On top of it all, Beck is whipped. Jade may occasionally be a badass, but at the end of the day her role is to be an unaffected mean girl whom Beck enables. Their relationship is surface level and monotonous.

If you are looking for a lighthearted, funny TV show with tween/teen appeal, then Victorious is the show for you. After watching this show frequently a few years ago in my preteen years, and even occasionally now as it came out on Netflix, I can assure you this is a great show that will keep you watching with all the laughter and drama it brings.

Victorious is focused on a friend group, with the main character being Tori Vega, that gives the inspiring message that you should be your own person, seeing how all the characters each are very different from each other. It also gives the positive message to follow your dreams and is shown through the fact that it takes place at a highschool for the arts. This show provides lots of upbeat and fun music as well as dramatic and funny storylines.

I would recommend to kids 10 and older as some of the dialogue can disguise some jokes that children might not understand, or influence the wrong way. This show also includes kissing and some revealing clothing if that would influence a parents decision to let their child watch this show.

Overall, this hilarious and playful sitcom is definitely a good show for kids and teens. It is not only very captivating with all the jokes and drama, but also has good messages hidden in the amusement and gives viewers a relatable, yet positive, experience.

It's been a little while, to say the least. Honestly, more than anything else, it feels so weird to be writing a new post nearly six years after leaving the wiki. But, as I'm sure most of the users on this wiki could guess, the reason I've made a *temporary* return is because Victorious came to Netflix. So I decided, nearly seven years after the show finished it's run, to rewatch the series I loved so dearly and had a huge impact on my life. I started doing that, and after a few episodes I found myself returning to this wiki looking around for trivia I've forgotten or looking up the episode guide. I watched more episodes, and I was making some notes on what has changed for me in this run, and I decided I wanted to, for old times sake, to make two posts on my old account.
