In Support of #MeToo

Greetings!

The #MeToo movement has given women the courage and the space to break long-held silences. However, the silence of men and boys can turn this into a dangerous narrative of a war on men. This movement is a great opportunity for us to build more equal relationships between men and women but this would be impossible without men joining this effort for change and vocally supporting the #MeToo movement.   We here in Delhi are going to demonstrate what I would say demonstration in the positive mode to support # MeeToo movement on Saturday, November 24. We will gather near Rajiv Chowk Metro Gate No. 5 where all allies and partners will join. 

We would like to encourage you all to hold such event in your campus and city and other constituencies to mark FEM's solidarity and support of MeToo movement. Some slogans are sharing with you which can be placed at the placard 

हम मर्द और लड़के भी हैं

#MeToo के साथ।

#MeToo हम मर्दों और लड़कों के बारे में है।

ये हमारे नज़रियों, तौर तरीक़ों और रिश्तों के बारे में है।

हम मर्द उन सब हिम्मतवाली औरतों के शुकरगुज़ार हैं जिन्होंने

अपनी ख़ामोशी तोड़कर घिनौनी मर्दानगी से पर्दे हटाए।

#MeToo औरतों और मर्दों के बीच जंग नहीं है।

ये जंग है हम सब के और पितृसत्ता के बीच।

#MeToo is about us Men and Boys. 

It is about our ways of Thinking, Acting and Relating. 

#MeToo is NOT

Women against Men.

# MeToo is

ALL OF ALL OF US against Patriarchy. 

We Men  thank and admire all the Brave Women

Who broke their silence And showed us our violence. 

We Men and Boys

Need to give up our Love for Power and Entitlement
