Dear friends,

A training programme on approaches to engaging men and boys in gender justice for the process of recovery from the Covid pandemic and incorporating an understanding of masculinities is being held from January 11-15, 2021. Please see the details below:

It is well known that gender inequality affects the recovery and rehabilitation process from disasters. As communities move towards the recovery phase of the current Covid 19 pandemic it is important to be vigilant that the opportunities are fair, and contributions are equitable in the community. An awareness of the possibilities of heightened gender disparity during the rehabilitation process is extremely important for rebuilding gender just and resilient communities. This approach needs to include men and boys and incorporate an understanding of masculinities in order that men and boys can play a creative and positive role in this process of recovery.
