Dear All,
Warm greetings from Sangat, and we hope this finds you well!
We are happy to announce the call for applications for the 24th South Asian Feminist Capacity Building Course on Gender, Sustainable Livelihoods, Human Rights, and Peace (Month Long Course).
As you may know, this one month residential course is designed to offer participants clarity on and a greater understanding of concepts related to gender, justice, poverty, sustainable development, peace, democracy and human rights. It also leads to meaningful and transformative cross-border networking, friendship, and collaboration. Over the 23 years in which these courses have been held, more than 750 women from across the region and beyond have participated.
This year's course will be held at Tewa Centre, Kathmandu, Nepal from 23 August to 23 September 2019. For more details on the course, please see the attached course brochure. The application form for the course can also be found attached. Please note that this course is only open to women.
We would appreciate your support in identifying and nominating strong applicants who would strengthen the women's movement upon their return to their organizations and institutions. And, we would be most grateful if you could circulate these application materials among your networks and assist us in identifying women who could both contribute to and benefit from this course.
Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any questions, and thank you very much!
Warm regards,
Meenal on behalf of the Sangat team
