Explain the thesis:

Topic: Analyze the situation between the U.S. and Afghanistan
Thesis: The U.S sent thousands soldiers to Afghanistan on Oct 7, 2001
is right, because they will destroy the al-Qaeda group and its
alliance-the Taliban armed forces, and they are destroying the biggest
terrorist organization of the world, but in the other side, there is
as yet little to see the U.S military has a large military operation
to against the Taliban armed forces in Afghanistan. From the strategic
angle, the U.S troops want to stay in Afghanistan as long as possible
rather than destroy the terrorists, because Afghanistan is a strategic
rear to control Central Asia. This is a wrong strategic purpose.
Taliban armed force do not get rid of one day; more American soldiers
will die there, and the Taliban armed forces’ resurgence will make
more expenses on the U.S. troops.
WHY DID YOU DO WHAT YOU DID?
My motive is that this problem just left to the next administration. I
want to see what the Obama government is going to do on this problem.
Did I point out the something or not? This topic is important, because
it relate millions people’s lives, and it can truly reflect the
attitude of counter-terrorist of the U.S.
What did you learn?
I just search on 911 event and the situation in Afghanistan and a
little bit introduction of the Taliban government. The important
detail is: from strategic angle, the U.S. stay in Afghanistan as long
as possible is a good idea, because Afghanistan is a strategic rear.
If the U.S established military bases in Afghanistan, it can defense
Russia from the north and suppress China from the east and press Iran
from the west and overlook India from the south.
Conclusions: To create the Afghan quagmire may be the best strategic
heritage that G.W Bush left to the next administration, but the U.S.
will pay the enormous expenses on it. The expenses will include
American soldiers’ lives and fiscal funds. It will make the financial
crisis of American worse. If next administration can finish this war
as soon as possible to back to the original counter-terrorist purpose,
the U.S. will be the hero of the world. If I’m the president I will
choose the second.
What else cloud be done?
We can visit some soldiers who came back from Afghanistan, and give
them some money to tell us the truth and analyze the real purpose of
the U.S., and we can know what exactly happen there, and we can make
this project on newspaper to force the U.S. government make the right
decision.
