What did you do?
I positively argued the conduct of Israel in the Gaza conflict through
the sacralization of war concept.
Compared Israel to hector’s attitude toward war, versus Troilus’s view
which is compared to the “Hamas”.
Agreed with Ehrenreich when she criticized the concept of war
sacralization
Avoiding war (Israle) Vs. Holy war (hamas) - See Act II
Israel went to war against the “”hamas” in order to solve a problem –
6000 rockets fired at Israel for the past 8 years.
War was unavoidable.
Why did you do what you did?
As an Israeli this issue is always in my mind.
America and Israel are facing the same issues – terrorism, secular vs.
religious views on war, share the same enemies.
What did you learn?
I found many congressional bills about the Israeli – Palestinian
conflict
Found many articles in the New York Times web site – I find their
article interesting and comprehensive.
Through my research I learn more thoroughly about the Arab world view
on the conflict.
What else could be done?
As there is no partner for peace at this moment, I will propose
building schools and community centers where
Palestinian and Israeli kids can interact and learn to respect each
other as neighbors and human beings.
Send a message of peace to the common people who live in both sides of
the conflict.
Send letters of support to the innocent victims of this conflict.
