The great virtues of the Internet have now been weaponized by far-right extremists, who have moved their communications, propaganda, recruitment, and training into cyberspace. Dr. Weimann will illustrate the use of online platforms by far-right terrorists and antisemites, including during the current pandemic. A question and answer session will follow the lecture.

Dr. Gabriel Weimann is a leading authority on online terrorism and cyberterrorism and currently a visiting professor at University of Maryland. He is a Professor of Communication (Emeritus) at Haifa University and a Professor at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel. He has authored nine books and more than 190 papers in leading scientific journals and received international awards for his work.
