Greetings! Just a quick hello recognizing Earth Day's 50th Anniversary and a reminder to celebrate and appreciate the most fundamental form of utilizing the sun's energy - photosynthesis. I'd encourage you go outside and observe photosynthesis in action. It still works and is still an amazing part of the natural world.
Here in Sebastopol seeds are popping above ground, leaves and flowers are sprouting on trees, and we're eating produce from the garden already. With all the craziness going on in the world today, it's been a good daily routine to get outside and appreciate nature and the wonder of Photosynthesis.
Below is a photo I took of grape leaves emerging on the vine near our barn.
If you'd like to share a photosynthesis picture of your own, reply to this email and attach your photo. We'll post and share pics on theSolar Schoolhouse website in a gallery.
Below the photo is a short video made by Kiss The Ground on Regenerative Climate Victory Gardens. With many of us at home, and considering starting or enhancing a garden, it's an opportunity to learn more about how gardening(farming) has multiple benefits - healthy soil, carbon sequestration, and good food!
Looking foward,
Tor
