Hello all,
To the best of my understanding, all of you indicated your interest in contributing to NECS in some fashion. I am so pleased to see that so many of you are interested.
At this time, I would like to make a request. It is a bit long so I ask you bear with me.
Basically, I am in somewhat of a dilemma. I am currently engaged in too many
activities right now, principally running 4 businesses at the same
time. So, I am realizing I do not have the time to commit fully to NECS and I know I
will have less time in college, because I will have college itself and
also Mock Trial to occupy myself with in addition.
As you may know, I have expressed concerns about the organization having not gotten very far in the last half year, and I believe in addition to the small group of devoted members, strong leadership is necessary for NECS's success. I have tried to pull the group together in the last couple weeks or so with the emails, the website, and the writing, polls, and forum in the website. However, due to lack of time, I realize I can no longer do this well.
I would ask that someone volunteer to to lead the group and organize NECS as a whole. It can be one person, more than one person, etc. You would not have to follow what I did (e.g. the website, what I wrote in the emails, etc.). My principal desire is simply to see NECS live on and make some progress. Based on past experience, for that to happen, I think we need someone to take upon the responsibility of leading the group.
Anyone desiring to lead please step up :) Discussion and suggestions welcome too.
Thank you.
Shengzhi
PS Just to clear any possible confusion, NECS and Junior Energy Board are two different things.
