I have booked a visit as it seems like a bit of a no brainer - you pay back £33 per month for the capital cost and they pay you around £50 pcm for the electricity plus you save on your own bill -

they are looking for homes with south facing roofs...

Hi All

I thought you might be interested in looking at this - it's a new initiative
that British Gas is participating in, and they are doing a pilot with 100
homes in Sussex and Surrey. My understanding is that they send someone
around to your house and look to see what micro-energy measures best suit
your house. You then pay for it AS you save money (I think this is linked
into the new feed-in tarrif) - essentially a 25 year interest free loan. If
you're interested call asap as they have not yet advertised it widely, so
it's only just getting going.
