Interfacing Matlab NILM algorithms with nilmtk

Hi everyone,

I wrote a blog post on interfacing NILM algorithms written in Matlab with nilmtk. In the post, I've tried to detail the function signature needed on the Matlab side and presented a complete working example on the REDD data set.

Please feel free to ping me in case you have doubts/suggestions. I hope that this will further help reduce the barrier to entry for NILM research.

I came across another blog post of yours http://nipunbatra.github.io/2014/08/nilmtk-test-co/ that uses the combinatorial optimization algorithm.

I clicked on the link for (complete code) but it is dead https://github.com/nilmtk/nilmtk/blob/master/nilmtk/tests/generate_test_data.py

I'm a python newbie. Tried running the 1st step on my windows machine but nothing happens and python doesn't give any feedback.

In the meanwhile I will try out your latest offering :)

I am a PhD scholar at IIT Delhi. This link that you have posted here i.e http://nipunbatra.github.io/2016/01/nilmtk-matlab/ is not opening now. It is giving 404 site not found. Can you please let me know if it has moved somewhere else?
