Seeking Advice on NILM Algorithms for Embedded Deployment

Hello everyone,

I am a 3rd-year Electrical Engineering student working on my end-of-study project and my master’s thesis in Signal, Systems, and Data. My research focuses on Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring (NILM) algorithms, and I am trying to understand which approaches are most effective, especially considering I plan to deploy my model on an embedded platform.

I am also designing the acquisition hardware and software myself to collect ground truth data from available appliances. If anyone here has experience with the CNN Seq2Point architecture, or other NILM methods, I would be very interested in discussing practical challenges, implementation tips, or lessons learned.
