Hello,

I am currently working on developing a NILM model to dissagregate energy comsumption of different devices in Spanish residences. The main issue I have is the lack of data for appliance load monitoring in Spain.

I have found several datasets for other countries, specially UK (UK-DALE, REFIT) and USA (SMART, REDD), but I am not sure if this data is suitable to build a model for Spain, since consume patterns may be different for different countries.

Have anyone work with datasets for different countries? Do you know if combining data from different countries is usefull, or if it leads to bigger errors because of the differences of behaviour?

I would also want to ask what are the best NILM datasets in your experience.  I have take a look at UK-DALE, REFIT, SMART, REDD, SynD Dataset, DRED, DEDDIAG, ECO and GREEND (although I could not use this one because I couldn't find an explanation of with ID corresponds with which device).

I am looking forward to your reponses

Thank you in advance!

Hi Julia,

I have gathered a NILM dataset called MORED that holds the electricity consumption of 18+ households from different socio-economic statuses from Tetuan, Rabat, and Sale in Morocco..
This is the link for the dataset: GitHub - MOREDataset
This is the link to the corresponding paper for more details about it: Energies | Free Full-Text | MORED: A Moroccan Buildings’ Electricity Consumption Dataset (mdpi.com)

I hope this helps.

Kind regards,
