Establish ground truth using NILMTK

Hi ,

I recently implemented a Combinatorial  Optimisation algorithm on a subset of the LASS dataset.

I used Python/Pandas and Numpy to implement.

I now have to establish the ground truth.

I know that NILMTK has the tools to do this but I may need some guidance. I am using a windows machine and once again it is the LASS dataset. (only 6 appliances were used)

I'm not familiar with the LASS dataset.  Please could you provide a link to a website describing the dataset?  Does it include appliance-level ground truth data as well as whole-house aggregate data?

Thanks Jack, I've been around for a few months but not too active.



I call it lass but it is actually the smart dataset.

I'm using two of the circuits of House A.

However, I am not so sure about the ground truth of one of the circuits so I may have to revert to using a dataset that I generate at college. It's quite small - about 6 appliances , 15 minutes but at least I have appliance level ground truth data that I can rely on...

I installed the NILMTK and now Im trying to figure out how to run the the dissagregation functions.

NILMTK v0.1 had an importer for SMART* but we haven't gotten round to porting the SMART* converter to NILMTK v0.2 yet I'm afraid.  You're more than welcome to implement this code and submit a pull request, of course!
