For more details on this project read the descriptive narrative (with diagrams) on the web-site, https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/energy-conservation-in-housing
On that web-site is a topic, "The Attic Catwalk" and attached to that topic is a Word document, entitled, "An attic catwalk, Nov 2008.doc"
This document describes my step-by-step process during the attic insulation project.

Garage Insulation Project, October 2005
Timeline of Video (3 minutes)
0:10 Vapor barrier sealed to door frame
1:00 Insulation between the wall studs
1:20 Vapor barrier sealed to Window frame.
2:20 Wall Vapor Barrier
I did this garage insulation project about 6 months after I moved into this house.
After I completed the insulation, I covered the walls with sheetrock, then plastered and painted the walls. I also insulated the attic above the garage similar to what is described in the video, "Attic Insulation Project, Jan 2006" -- Which is found at this link: https://vimeo.com/100637035
The garage attic space already had a pull-down ladder, as well as an area of attic floor already covered with plywood. For the garage attic, I had only to add fiberglass insulation and a radiant barrier.

After living in this house for about 9 years, we finally decided to add some light to the master bedroom by adding a second window. This new window is a south-facing window, which takes advantage of the best solar exposure year-round.
After the installers finished, I was unpleasantly surprised to find out what they did to the existing wall insulation and vapor barrier. I then spent a couple days patching things up as best as I could. This video describes the process.
