Dear all,

My colleagues (Element Energy) are currently carrying out a study for the government (namely, the parliamentary body called Climate Change Committee (CCC)) looking at the future charging needs of electric vans and how policy can best support operators during this transition. The aim of this study is to specifically look at the differences in usage patterns and charging needs between cars and vans in order to plan for the additional charging infrastructure needed for vans.

For this work, we define vans as encompassing all light commercial vehicles (LCVs), from car derived vehicles to large panel vans (up to 3.5t).

To ensure this work accurately reflects real-world van usage, we would like to speak to operators of van fleets or those who drive vans for work. Would you be able to provide some information about your operating profile in the linked brief survey (approx. 5 mins): survey link.

The data collected will not shared with any other organisation and only the aggregated findings will be reported back to the CCC.

Alternatively, if it is more convenient for you, we could arrange a short call (15 – 20 mins) to discuss your operating profile.

We would greatly appreciate any information you could provide.

Please forward this message on to van drivers you might know.

Thank you,

Celine at 34
