My name is George Fomitchev. I am a founder of Endurance. For 10 years I was sitting in headquarters top Russian banks and finally I realized that I just waste my time doing nothing. In May 2015 I quit Unicredit Bank and started Endurance.

Let  us present why we are here… We are making movable holder / cradle for smartphones and tablets. We are making a new home for smartphones and tablets. Very useful gadget that will bring you unforgettable feeling while video call. This thing will forward you while you speak and it can be controlled by a person you talk to.

We are inviting everyone who likes drones, robots and support young entrepreneur teams to contribute to our project.

We are raising 20 000 USD to make 100 units and ship them to all our contributors.  Everyone who support our project  will be remembered. We want you to help us to create a future. Future of civilian robots and useful gadgets that can change our life for better

What We Need & What You Get

• Explain how much funding you need and where it's going. Be transparent and specific-people need to trust you to want to fund you.

We are looking for 20 000 $ to make beta shipments. Endurance count about 10 people working full time and all of them work without salary. Indeed they are very motivated and focused. So, we need 20 000$ mainly to make beta shipments but we are also would like to do some R&D. We plan to make fully transparent interface, make compatible with iOS, Windows mobile and put bigger cradle to hold 10-12 in tablets. Create a special protocol that allows to get all the telemetry on mobile holder and turn it into a robot! We also plan to make movements smart, so it can follow you. So the movement will react on you if you are moving.

Write an additional software to make it more programmable like WIFI camera so holder + smartphone can become sophisticated WIFI camera.

The rest 10 000 USD we'll use for modernization of our holder and for testing it :
Adding sound and visual control;
Testing different solutions in energy consumption;
Adding support of multiple OS(IOS, Windows);
Crash tests and tests in critical conditions;
Searching of the best solution in quality/price of different batteries and servos;
Adding equipment for rapid mass production(now it takes us 1 week to make 1 holder);
Improving of design and stability.

Endurance project is getting together very smart engineer folks, mostly students from top Russian tech universities. We want to bring civilian robots into our life to make it easier.

Doing movable holder for smartphone we claim that now it will be easier to make video phone calls, make selfy video and have an perfect home for you mobile devices. How you can make your mobile gadget into WIFI camera very easily.

A lot of similar projects that were held on kickstarter and indiegogo did not take off. Endurance already took off, we just need some help and additional lift to fly faster. We will make this solution much cheaper than current competitors and we will make is smart.

Risks & Challenges

Compatible with the latest stand devices using Bluetooth v4
Currently the holder supports Bluetooth v2.0.The interaction with the latest models of phones and tablets can be difficult.
Loss of functionality
Other platforms may not support a transparent interface designed for Android.

- We plan to add an additional module Bluetooth, compatible with the new standards of communication.
- In addition, soon it will be possible to exchange data via USB

- A more detailed study of API
- Adding a control function using the accelerometer
- Adding a Face Recognition function: rotation will be carried out automatically

Hurdles:
1 ) What kind of servo is the best for our holder?
2 ) How long will servos work without breaking and in what conditions?
3 ) How long will battery work without recharging and what capacity is perfect for us?
4 ) In what voltage range will holder work correctly and how long?
5 ) How strong must be force applied to holder to break servos / shell?
6 ) Will be added a separate microphone or speakers?
Solving:
1 ) Only using different servos we will find the most perfect one (time of use, max weight, voltage and price) for smart holder;
2 ) Time testing in different machines which can change conditions;
3 ) Time testing in critical mode of holder's working with different battery's capacity.
4 ) There is voltage range in which holder and its components can work correctly. We will rise voltage to check, how long will holder work in critical mode.
5 ) Crush tests of our holder
6 ) Testing of comfort / price parameter of different solutions.
