results and photo sets have been on the endracing site for a few
days. the first movie was added on tuesday, and the second (Mt. Haga)
on thursday. Jason still has two more movies in the works, which will
come out in due course.

Some of you are writing great emails to sponsors - thanks! we've
gotten a reply from several (see blog) expressing their appreciation
and the idea that this rarely happens. But then we're used to doing
things a bit differently.

Lastly - we're looking at setting dates for the 24 hour race in 2011.
My initial thought is to have it again on labour day weekend (sept
3-4) - this way no one has to miss work! (usually on a 24 hour race
over a regular weekend, you either take friday off for travel or
monday off because you can't function). Early sept also promises a
bit warmer weather (just two weeks later i'm going to have to race my
24 hour with 52 degree highs!). Finally, consistency in the
scheduling is nice - and since there are no other area races over that
weekend, might be good to claim our niche!

I've already got the course roughly planned on google maps (i can't
stop thinking about it until i do this) - you'll all get a chance to
use your packrafts again - and those with proper boats will be happy
to have them - those without may need to pony up the 15 bucks to get
one as it'll be loads better..... there will also be some exciting
canoeing (pembina gorge has some class I/II) and a great deal more
'terrain' than GF - so that topographical maps are going to be
essential. The format will again be suitable as a first 24 hour race
(ie many optional CP's) but still provide a serious challenge for top
teams. Not sure yet what we'll cap the race at (or if we need to),
but i'll try to sort out some details over the next few weeks so those
of you who are as excited as i am will have a chance to register your
interest early.

Cheers everyone

andy
