I have a few questions on the race and the course. . .

1. You mention the bin for the pack-rafting section. Is this the only
bin we will have access to on the course? YES

2. Can we use Klymit inflatable vests instead of normal PFDs? (Pack
rafters use these on rivers.) Link:
http://store.klymit.com/home/index/2048.0 - if they are US coast guard
approved (even if type III) that is fine!

3. For the pack rafts, you mention that "a team of three, for example,
might opt for a small one person raft and throw their bags and one guy
in the boat" etc. My question: Does each team member need to have a
craft/raft? - NO. One 'craft' per team is all that is required

4. You say "As long as teams have some sort of a 'craft' - be it a
pool inner tube, a small one person raft, a tow-tube for fun at the
lake - they are fine." My question: Does that mean a two-person team
can rely on one "craft" total (shared between both teammates)? (We are
looking at using a single small "craft" for our two-person team.) -
YES (see above)

5. About how far (in miles) will we pack raft and canoe? - if you get
all packraft points your river travel is about 2+ miles, with
current. The canoe is approximately 5-6 miles with one portage around
a low head dam.

6. For the pack-raft section, you say "Teams pursuing all the points
will be traveling a distance of just over two miles on foot." But
approximately how far will we be pack-rafting up/down river? - see
above. also see the website and look at the two past blogs on
packrafting - good details there as to how this section will look.

7. For the climbing sections, will the clock stop when you are waiting
in line for a climb? (Please say "YES"!) Waiting in lines on ropes
sections while the clock is ticking is a regrettable part of the
sport. - Clock will not stop - no real way to do this. be in the
front and it won't be a problem (: we've tried to minimize potential
bottlenecks by setting a short time limit, locating the climbs further
along in the course, and letting teams get them at multiple times in
the course.

8. Regarding the float-the-bikes-across-the-river section (to the CP),
I have a few questions. . .
> Approximately how far is it across the river? 25 yards? - yep

> Is there much current? - not much.

> If we choose to bike to the optional CP, you say "the nearest bridge to the TA is about 4 miles distance." Is this saying it will be about an 8-mile bike around to get to the optional CP? - see latest blog post - this is no longer an option - the ferry is mandatory.

> On the bikes, after we get that optional CP, will we then be coming back the same way (i.e., another 8 miles to get back)? - this cp is no longer optional.
