Capitol Hill Running Club friends:

Our club runs will still take place this week despite the Thanksgiving holiday! We’ll meet at the usual time and place. Feel free to bring friends or family who are in town—everyone is welcome.  Other than that, hope you all have a wonderful time with family and friends, Happy Thanksgiving. 

This week's runs are as follows:

Tuesday, November 25 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool) Tidal Basin Run4.2 miles, (South side of Mall, L - 15th St, after crossing Independence Ave follow E Basin Dr around Jefferson Memorial, R – Ohio Dr, R – Independence Ave after passing MLK Memorial, cross Independence Ave, return via south side of Mall)

Thursday, November 27 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool) White House Run4.1 miles, (North side of Mall westbound, R 15th St NW, L – Old Pennsylvania Ave plaza on north side of White House, L – 17th St NW, Cross Constitution Ave and continue to south side of Mall trail, return to Capitol)

Saturday, November 29 (7:30 AM from Marine Corps War Memorial/Arlington): Roosevelt Island Run, 3.4, 5.0, or 6.4 mile route options. (Ft. Myer Drive/Lynn Street through Rosslyn, turn right just before Key Bridge onto the Mount Vernon Trail access path. Cross the Roosevelt Island Park causeway and take the outer loop path around the Island. Return the way you came for a 3.4 mile run, or turn left onto Mount Vernon trail after you cross the causeway and return to the Iwo Jima Statue via Memorial Bridge for a 5-mile total, this route can be extended to 6.4-miles by crossing the Memorial Bridge towards the end and running a lopp around the Lincoln and returning to the Iwo Jima statueon the opposite side of the bridge)
