Happy Monday Capitol Hill Running Club friends:

Welcome to the 2026 CHRC running season for the Annual Marine Corps Marathon! Thank you to everyone who joined us at the Expo on May 21st! We had such an amazing turnout and we cannot wait to see all of you throughout the season

Alex and I are excited to kick things off this week on Tuesday, June 2, at 6:30 a.m. at the SW corner of the Capitol reflecting pool. The weather forecast this week looks ideal for getting out, getting active, and making friends! 

This week's runs are:

Tuesday, June 2 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool) WWII Memorial (From Grant Statue to WWII Memorial and back) 3 mi.

Thursday, June 4 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool) House of the Commandants Run (From Grant Statue to Penn Ave to 8th and I, around the Commandant's House, and return via Penn Ave) 3 mi.

Saturday, June 6 (6:30 AM from Iwo Jima Memorial) Gravelly Point Run (From Iwo Jima Memorial to Gravelly Point and back) 6 mi.

A special treat: Armed Forces Service Challenge: Complete each of the following races and earn a coveted series medal: Coast Guard Marathon, Air Force Marathon, Army Ten-Miler, Marine Corps Marathon, Space Force T-Minus 10-Miler and the Navy Ten-Miler. 

**Capitol Hill Running Club exists purely to offer an opportunity for runners to exercise together in a group. Every person attending the club must take full and complete responsibility for their own actions. Know your limits, and please come prepared.
