Hope everyone had a great Saturday run! Despite the humidity, we had an awesome turnout—thanks to all who came out. (See the attached photo from the run!)
🎉 Upcoming Event: Fun Run & Happy Hour 🎉
To celebrate the 250th Birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps and making it halfway through your MCM training program, we’re hosting a special 2.50-mile “Fun Run” and Happy Hour on Wednesday, July 30th! (Use this link to mark your calendar now!)
We will start and finish at The Brig! Start time is scheduled for 6:30 pm. More details to come.
**Do not worry, our regular programming runs will continue this week. This is just an additional fun run!**

Also, just a reminder that we now have Modified Saturday Runs. Not training for the marathon but still want to join? We have shorter runs on Saturday for those who still want to run with the group, but maybe not as far! Come join our modified Saturday Runs!

Tuesday, July 22 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool) Lincoln Memorial (From Grant Statue to Lincoln Memorial and back via National Mall 4 mi.
Thursday, July 24 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool) Bridge to Bridge (From Grant Statue to Memorial Bridge to MVT to 395-Bridge and back via National Mall) 7 mi.
Saturday, July 26 (6:30 AM from WWII Iwo Jima Memorial) Custis Trail (From Iwo to MVT to Custis Trail out and back 5mi. – 10 mi. total) 10 mi. (**Water Stop at 2.4 mi. / 7.6 min mark)
o Modified Saturday Run (5 miles) Continue with the main group from Iwo to MVT to Custis, but turn around at the water stop (2.5 miles)

Marine Corps Motivation:
In honor of the 250th Marine Corps Birthday, 50th MCM, and 25th CHRC Anniversary, some of our Marine Defense Fellows will be kicking off Saturday runs and manning water points to keep you moving!
This week’s run will be supported by Master Sergeant Eric Narduzzi and Captain
Simona Elvin. Be sure to say hello and thank them!
