This Week’s Runs

·    Tuesday, April 28 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool)

Lincoln Memorial Run — about 4 miles

Route: Head west down the National Mall (or take Jefferson Dr NW); continue onto the south Mall trail after crossing 14th St SW; proceed to the Lincoln Memorial; return to the Capitol via the north side trail along Madison Dr NW.

·    Thursday, April 30 (6:30 AM from US Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool) 

SW & NW Memorials Run - about 5 miles

Route: Cross Independence Ave, Southbound on 4^th St SW, R – M St SW, @ 7^th St SW, cross over to the south side of Maine Ave to run in front of the Wharf buildings and Fish Market, continue west on Maine Ave, bear L – Independence Ave towards King Memorial, cross over Independence Ave to Lincoln Memorial, R – Henry Bacon Dr NW, R – Constitution Ave NW, bear R – Pennsylvania Ave NW, R -3^rd St back to starting point. You can also come back from Lincoln via the Mall.

·    Saturday, May 2 (7:30 AM from Marine Corps War Memorial/Arlington) 

Custis Trail Run (aka every runner’s favorite😊), out and back for a distance of your choice. It’s nicely repaved so I thought that we could check it out!

Route: Ft. Myer Dr/Lynn St through Rosslyn, L – Lee Hwy just before Key Bridge, Pick up Custis Trail in front of what used to be the old Key Bridge Marriott Hotel.
