Capitol Hill Running Club Friends,
Welcome to the Capitol Hill Running Club’s 2025–2026 Off-Season! Moving forward, I’ll share our weekly run routes throughout the fall, winter, and early spring until a new Marine Director guides the Club next June through the 2025 Marine Corps Marathon training season.
Congratulations to everyone who ran the 50th Marine Corps Marathon, 50K, or 10K! Special shout-out to our 2025 Directors, Harris Laughrey and Calvin Ruidiaz, for their leadership during this year’s summer training season. And of course, thanks again to Col. Ray Celeste, who coordinated nearly everything the Club touches—including the dinner prior to the Marathon.
The Club’s Off-Season offers everyone an opportunity to maintain running fitness through the winter while meeting up with old and new friends on a regular basis. Though we do not have a formal training program during this time, many members use it to prepare for winter and spring races they’ve signed up for.
Our runs are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6:30 a.m., and on Saturdays at 7:30 a.m. Saturday runs typically alternate starting points between the southwest corner of the Capitol Reflecting Pool and the Iwo Jima Statue at Arlington’s Marine Corps War Memorial. Most Off-Season Saturday routes are “distance-of-your-choice” runs.
We hope to see you out there this Off-Season—as often or as infrequently as you like!
This Week’s Runs:
