Run Routes - Week of March 9

Capitol Hill Running Club friends:

Hope you all had a great time at Ray's Birthday Party Celebration this past Saturday. 

The National Park Service predicts peak season for the 2025 cherry blossom viewing in DC will be March 28-31. We typically schedule a Tidal Basin-area run each week to take advantage of the lovely scenery, and hope you can join us. 

This week's runs are as follows:

• Tuesday, March 11 (6:30 AM from Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool): Lincoln Memorial Run, 4.2 miles. (Head west down National Mall along Jefferson St NW, onto Mall south trail after crossing 14^th St SW. Continue to Lincoln Memorial, return to Capitol via north side Trail along Madison St NW.)
  
  
• Thursday, March 13 (6:30 AM from Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool): (Tidal Basin Run, 4.2 miles, (South side of Mall, L - 15th St, after crossing Independence Ave follow E Basin Dr around Jefferson Memorial, R – Ohio Dr, R – Independence Ave after passing MLK Memorial, cross Independence Ave, return via south side of Mall)
  
  
• Saturday, March 15 (7:30 AM from Capitol/southwest corner of Capitol Reflecting Pool): Massachusetts Avenue “Circles” Run, out and back for distance of your choice, (Head north on 3^rd St SW & NW to L – Massachusetts Ave. Continue northwest up Mass Ave as far as you want, around Thomas, Scott, Dupont, Sheridan Circles, etc.)
