Capitol Hill Running Club Friends,

Nothing is impossible! History was made on April 26, 2026, at the London Marathon! For the first time ever, the top two finishers ran under two hours—and the first three all broke the previous world record (set by the late Kelvin Kiptum at the 2023 Chicago Marathon: 2:00:35):

·       Sabastian Sawe – 1:59:30

·       Yomif Kejelcha – 1:59:41

·       Jacob Kiplimo – 2:00:28

This extraordinary achievement came just over six years after Eliud Kipchoge proved that a sub–two‑hour marathon was humanly possible, clocking 1:59:40 on October 12, 2019.

So whether your dream is to run your first marathon, your 100th, qualify for Boston, set a new PR, or simply to run with like‑minded people—come join us! We will have plenty of fun (and inspiration) running together.

We hope to see you out there! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️
