Failure to write

I keep trying to make a USB installer and it keeps failing at 49% writing. Help!!!!

Sounds like you may have a bad USB stick... Do you have another you can
try? Follow the instructions at
https://support.endlessm.com/hc/en-us/articles/210527226 and we can see
if the logs reveal anything interesting.

I have purchased 2 brand new USB 3.0 flash drives. 32 GB each. Still failing.

It will download fine, verify fine, always writes to 49% and fails. Over and over.

It's not the USB drive, and it's not my PC. It's your install process.

You need to just release an ISO. Please.

I'm tired of dealing with it. Doesn't seem worth it to me.

Just to follow up on your question about ISOs - we don't have ISO images yet but they should be available later in the year. Full disk images are available here:

i am dealing with the same problem. And during the USB disk creation, when it reaches 64% Windows gives me an error about the disk and offers to options: "scan and fix" and "continue without fixing". I chose continue without and the same result - the pc freezes in startup/Bios and nothing happens.

Hello, I am have same problem. I am using new USB 3.0 stick. Instalation falling at 49% writing.

Jim, thanks for the debug log. It shows the step that the creator is failing at, but we're not sure why.

Jim, Martin, could you try creating a USB installer using the previous version of the tool, 1.0.0.13? You can download it from this URL: https://d1anzknqnc1kmb.cloudfront.net/endless-usb-creator/endless-usb-creator-v1.0.0.13.exe

Hi Martin, Jim, Radu, Jhone,

I notice all three of you reported similar errors with the USB creator
failing at 49%. We have a potential fix but we need to know if the
following .exe fixes the problem for you:

Can you please also get a debug log and send this to us - whether or not
it works! Then we can hopefully fix this problem in the next version.
