3rd setting: 1 game hour = about 1 real world second
4th setting: 1 game day = about 1 real world second
Research/Tasks:
This is where you set what your processing capacity will be doing.
You move the slider for the research or task you wish to set to the
amount you wish to set.
There are 2 non research tasks you can set cpu to do as well as
several research options.
Non research tasks
cpu Pool: Cpu set here will be first used to maintain bases if any cpu
power is needed, whatever is left after that will
be used to earn money.
Jobs: This task starts with menial labor but upgrades automatically as
bettter jobs become available. cpu put into
this section is used exclusivly for earning money.
Research option: these use both cash and cpu when set. The amount of
cash used per day depends on on the number of days it will ttake to
finish the research with amount of cpu power put into it. IE if it
will take 5 days to complete something costing 2k cash then itt will
cost 400 a day.
Back: takes you back to the global game screen.
Cash: used to buy research and new bases
Finance: Gives information on finances The income and expenses show
how much is left to spend and how much incomoe you will get in the
remainder of the current day. The money att midnight shows you how
much you have will when the clock ticks over to midnight of the next
day. The finance screen also shows how much CPU you have avilable and
where it is being invested.
Knowledge: shows what tech items and concepts you know and have
available for research.
Base locations:
There are 6 locations available at the start of the game, with 5 more
becomming avilable as you aquire tthe technology to build at them. The
original locations have some different stats here is a run down of
them.
Locations with higher costs but no aditional listed stats are more
secure. bases built there have a lower chance of being discovered.
Locations that have lower efficiency as a stat but no lowered cost are
more secure. bases built there have a lower chance of being detected.
Locations with higher efficiency produce more cpu per base/unit. if
the cost is higher then normal security is normal if the cost per base
is default security is lower and bases are easier to discover.
Locations with lower efficiency produce less cpu per base/unit.
Base types:
Server: basic default base renting time from a company. default cost
100 cash no cpu. default cpu is 10. maintenance 5 cash/day.
Stolen computer time: Take over a random computer. default cost is 2
cp. default cpu is 1 there is a chance to gain a 5 cpu
base. Ithas a lower chance of detection. avilable after inttrusion is
researched. maintenance none.
Data centre: Buy processing time from a company that focuses on raw
power. default cost is 1500 cash. default cpu is 35. takes 24 hours to
build. has a higher chance of beeing detected. maintenance 50 cash/
day.
Small warehouse: Rent a smallware house thats out of the way. you
build units and optional accesories inside. warehouse is effected by
security pluses or negatives while units are effected by processor
bonuses or negatives. default cost 1500. holds 25 units and takes 3
days to build plus build time for units inside. maintenance 50 cash.
to build units and other things inside choe the open base option.
large warehouse: Rent a large warehouse that is out of the way. you
build units and accesories inside. warehouse is effected by security
pluses or negatives while units are effected by processor bonuses or
negatives. default cost is 40000 cash takes 6 days to build. has space
foor 65 units. To build units and other things inside choe the open
base option.
