EncryptPad project releases 0.5.0.4 beta

EncryptPad, a free open source project for privacy and security, today announced the general availability of beta version 0.5.0.4, a community driven text editor facilitating symmetric encryption of text and binary files that implements the OpenPGP protocol.

The main purpose of this release is better support of 2K and 4K monitors, addition of new graphical interface functionality and maintenance.

Release notes:

* Update Botan to 2.19.4
* Use svg icons from the Breeze project to resolve the appearance in 2K/4K resolution screens
* Add basic printing functionality
* Show the current path in the file properties
* Add Close menu item
* Add calculator functionality to evaluate an expression in the current line
* Display the remaining number of S2K derivations that can be used to save the file without entering the passphrase
* Create a new file from the command line argument
