Thanks for your work on the icons. They look nice. Would it not be easier for you to change the default icons for the .epd extension on Windows? There are numerous manuals in the Internet. I found a couple with a quick google search:

Regarding changing the default EncryptPad icon, I agree that the icon is not ideal. However, it's used everywhere on the web site, numerous blog articles about EncryptPad and even in a few paper magazines. It's difficult for me to change the theme and colour of the icon at the moment. However, I would be more than grateful if somebody could improve its quality while retaining the identity of the theme, if you can say so.
In the meantime, I think it should be easy to solve your problem with changing the icon in Windows. Let me know if it works for you.
