The Bill of complaint of Richard Phillips, Samuel Phillips, William B. Phillips, sons and children of Bennett Phillips, deceased, and of William Phillips, Sophronia Duncan and her husband [blank] Duncan, the said William and Sophronia being children of Isaac M. Phillips, dec'd., who was a son of said Bennett Phillips, and Nancy Vancleve, and her husband Stephen Vancleve, the said Nancy being a daughter of said Bennett Phillips, dec'd., and Spencer Hill, John Hill, Samuel Hill, Joseph Hill, William Hill, Jeremiah Hill, Sarah Vancleve, and her husband William Vancleve, Nancy Holden and her husband Spencer Holden, Frances Gwinn and husband [blank] Gwinn and Martha Potts and husband Richard Potts, Catherine Renshaw and husband [blank] Renshaw and Mary Nance and husband Wiley Nance, the said Spencer, John, Samuel, Joseph, William, Jeremiah, Sarah, Nancy, Frances, Martha, Catherine and Mary, being (grand?) children of said Bennett Phillips, dec'd., Kimbro T. Allison and Thomas B. Allison, executors of Thomas Allison, dec'd. in the Chancery Court at Shelbyville.
Your orators and oratrixes would respectfully represent to your honor that said Bennett Phillips dec'd. had a daughter who intermarried with one Thomas Allison. Her name was Rebecca and that she had no children, being advanced in life when she married said Allison who was a widower and the father of several children

Said Joseph Phillips died without issue and was previously the Executor of Last Will and Testament of his father Bennett Phillips which was executed 10 November 1776 and was proven and recorded in Surry County, North Carolina – However disposition of the estate of Bennett Phillips was never completed by said Joseph Phillips, dec’d: children

2. Andrew Phillips, (twin of Solomon?) dec’d – died intestate in Pickens Co., Alabama
