In this section, you can download user manuals in PDF format for each product listed below. These documents will provide you with detailed installation and un-installation instructions, system requirements, step-by-step operation, etc.

However, Foxit Reader available for Ubuntu(which is a Linux based operating system) seems quite different in terms of both features and UIUX design. I would say probably you didn't miss doing anything but the too just wasn't there. Fortunately there is a user manual of Foxit Reader for linux proving my point. I could not find this tool being mentioned in this manual. _us/FoxitReader1.0_QuickGuideforLinux.pdf

You don't need a snapshot tool in Foxit Reader. If you're using Gnome taste in Linux, you can use the snapshot tool in your distro, or just download it from your friendly repository. It works great and you can either save as a .png file or copy in your clipboard to paste in your application that you're using. It's perfect, simplest and faster as Linux.

I was editing a document on foxit reader. While undoing a change I mistakenly undid a lot of previous changes. Without realizing this I continued editing and when I finally realized what had happened, it was too late to just undo changes as I don't want to lose the changes I have done since then.

Unless you have an intermediate save you can pick bits out of, you'll have to copy/paste what you currently have into another document, then go back through the undo buffer as far as you can; then paste missing bits from one to the other.

The PDF version of the manual opens in Acrobat, but after a few pages of moving about the application crashes completely and consistently. To reproduce, open on the latest version of Acrobat, search for a word or two, and scroll a bit.

Our manual is and will be primarily a website. The PDF is more like a second class feature because, even in that form, it is useful to a lot of people - better than no PDF like in the Tomcat, so to say.

This seems a mistake. I want to read a ten-step description of what to do, not watch a 40-minute, merch-boosting video given over to ads and personality. And I want to read it while eating dinner or sitting on the sofa...not in the cockpit. I'd like it to be easily searchable, with a decent index and table of contents, and well illustrated. Honestly, in most cases, Chuck's Guides basically show the way. And I don't want to worry if I have a great internet connection or if a website is down while I'm doing it.

Hello
As our friends said, I personally like to take a look at a simple and complete PDF guide whenever I have a chance, even while having dinner. Unfortunately, the F-4 guide has many problems, despite my settings in Acrobat Radar, all my guides and personal books after closing Acrobat\ and reopening are opened from the same page, except for the F4 manual , and the links do not work, even the selection of chapters does not work, at least for me.
I hoped that after so many delays, the taste of enthusiasts and buyers would be taken into consideration
Not just following the policies of the manufacturing company, I think in this situation, our only savior is ------- Master Chuck --------

This is because the checker cannot tell if your document has sufficient color contrast. This means you will have to manually review the color contrast between text and its background in your PDFs.

If your document does not have sufficient color contrast, it is easier to fix the contrast in the source document (ie in Canva), export it to PDF, and then work on it in Foxit. Fix this issue first before moving onto tagging the PDF.

There may be tags in your PDF tree that are empty or contain a single space. This usually happens with tags on blank lines, caused by carriage returns. Tags with blank content can cause confusion for visitors using screen readers.

You can add missing tags with the Touch Up Reading Order (TURO) tool. The TURO tool outlines the PDF visually to show how content is ordered and by structure types (tags). It also has tools for adding missing tags.

We hope that this guide has left you feeling more confident about making accessible PDFs. If you have questions regarding PDF and document accessibility, please reach out to the Web Team at cae...@uga.edu.

To apply automatic tagging to your document using Foxit PDF Editor, go to the Accessibility tab and select Autotag Document. Tags may still need to be reviewed after applying automatic tags.

Note: automatic tagging has limitations with accuracy and sometimes produces unreliable tagging results. You can use automatic tagging for simple documents, however, avoid automatic tagging for documents with complex structures. You may have more accurate results starting with an optimized source document or using manual tagging.

Even after optimizing a document's source file, tags may need to be manually checked and cleaned up. Incorrect tags may need adjusted and empty tags should be removed. In Foxit PDF Editor, there are two ways to access the tags:

Currently, the default PDF viewers available from Microsoft and Apple are insufficient for viewing Stata's documentation. Please see the corresponding section for your operating system to see our recommendations.

We believe that PDF-XChange Editor and Foxit Reader offer the best experience with Stata on Windows. Adobe Reader will work but with a caveat: Adobe Reader cannot go to a specific manual entry in a PDF manual from Stata if that manual is already open. Depending on the versions of Stata and Adobe Reader, the quality of your experience may vary. If using Adobe Reader, please read the recommended Adobe Reader settings for Stata's PDF documentation.

Adobe Reader is the only option for opening Stata's PDF documentation from Stata for Mac. Other PDF viewers, such as macOS's Preview app, can be used to view Stata's PDF documentation; however, only Adobe Reader can be used by Stata to open a PDF manual and go to a specific entry.

Adobe Reader does have one major limitation: it cannot go to a specific entry in a PDF manual from Stata if that manual is already open. For example, if the Base Reference Manual PDF document is already open in Adobe Reader because you were viewing the manual entry for regress, clicking on the intreg PDF manual link in Stata will bring Adobe Reader to the foreground, but it will not go to the manual entry for intreg because the Base Reference Manual PDF document is already open. You must first close the Base Reference Manual PDF document in Adobe Reader before it can go to a different entry in that manual. This applies only to clicking links to the PDF documentation from Stata. Clicking on links within the PDF documentation works as usual.

Stata can tell Adobe Reader to automatically close a PDF manual so that it can reopen the manual and go to a specific entry. However, Adobe Reader has very limited user interface scripting support, so Stata achieves this by using macOS's accessibility control feature. For security and privacy reasons, accessibility control of apps must be manually enabled on an app-by-app basis, so you must manually enable it for Stata.

The first time you click on a PDF manual link in Stata after checking theClose documentation using accessibility control checkbox, the PDF manual will be opened in Adobe Reader, and you may be prompted by macOS that Stata wants access to control System Events.app.

You must allow Stata access to the System Events.app control byclicking the OK button. Once you allow Stata access, you may beprompted by macOS to grant accessibility control to Stata. If you mistakenlyclicked the Don't Allow button, open the Terminal applicationfrom the /Applications/Utilities folder, enter the command tccutilreset AppleEvents at the shell prompt, and then try clicking on a PDFmanual link in Stata again.

Click the Open System Preferences button and click the checkbox for Stata. If you don't see the dialog prompting you to grant accessibility control to Stata, it may be obscured by the main Adobe Reader window, so just move the window until you see the dialog. If you still don't see the dialog or clicking on a PDF manual link in Stata doesn't automatically close an existing PDF manual, you can enable accessibility control by launching System Preferences and clicking Security & Privacy. For more information about enabling user interface scripting, see the Mac Automation Scripting Guide. Once you enable accessibility control to Stata, Adobe Reader will go directly to any manual entry opened from Stata, regardless of whether its PDF manual is already open.
