Inthe first drop-down box under the Create a Video heading, select the video quality you want, which pertains to the resolution of the finished video. The higher the video quality, the larger the file size. (You may want to test them to determine which one meets your needs.)

The default time spent on each slide is 5 seconds. You can change that timing in the Seconds to spend on each slide box. To the right of the box, select the up arrow to increase the duration, or select the down arrow to decrease the duration.

Go into powerpoint, and use the 'Save For Web' button. It won't be perfect, you'll probably have to tweak some stuff, but you could make it look right with much less coding knowledge then the normal site.

And it could be used to extract the title, body and any other text in a fairly predictable way, and could even insert any HTML/CSS code you like around each of these bits of text, but unless the slide/slides are fairly simple examples of stock PPT slides, that might not be very helpful.

The best i found (for developers) is PowerPoint to Html5 SDK. It convert powerpoint to html including video and audio with amazing player API. Very easy to customize (player template can be customized). Quality is also good: try it

You could install PDF printer software like PDFCreator then "print" your presentation, make sure to check the High Quality checkbox. In PDFCreator click Options then Formats -> Compression and change the compression from Automatic to the level of compression you want e.g. JPEG-Minimum. I wouldn't recommend completely turning off compression as this will create a huge PDF document.

-to-pdf/ - I have spent about half a day testing different online and offline methods. At the end the one that I found to convert a presentation to PDF with a perfect quality is Zamzar.

I have been struggling with this for a while. You can delete everything else on a slide and save your background as a picture file and when you Format Background, import that File. Now the background will show up in the .pdf file.

I found the best resolution and very satisfied,File> Print > Choose Microsoft print to PDF (as your printer) > Click printer properties > Advanced > Change the paper size to A3 > OK > OK > Print. DONEYou will get almost the same image quality

So I am trying to import images (actually a whole slide) from Powerpoint to photoshop and the image quality is terrible. I tried first importing as a Jpeg, and I made the image as high of quality as Powerpoint will allow and the quality is still not too good. Now I tried saving as a tiff, and printing as a PDF. Both strategies failed. Has anyone dealt with this issue before???

I am trying to convert a bunch of MS Powerpoint files from ppt to PDF files. However, I am finding that a lot of files are not being rendered correctly. At first I thought it was something I was doing wrong since I was doing the conversion headless. I opened the same files in Impress and I see that they are still not rendering properly. Since this needs to be an automated process, I cannot open files and modify them.

Thanks for the initial response, but as I mentioned this needs to be an automated process to convert to PDFs - these will not even be my files. Do you, or does anyone else know of a way to programmatically fix this so the files render properly?

I see online conversion utilities that can render this properly. I am only assuming they are using something like libreoffice to convert, but is there a another tool that may be better suited to convert PPT to PDF (or JPG)?
