Inmost applications, the 10164 cable connects the data logger to a sampler residing in the same instrumentation shack. Therefore cable lengths of 50 feet or less should suffice. If the application requires long lead lengths and the sampler supports long event markers, the cable could support distances up to 1000 feet (for example, the Isco-brand sampler has an event marker that is 3 seconds, an adequate duration for a cable length of 1000 feet). However, the cable has no additional built-in surge protection. In these applications, the cable should be protected, (e.g., buried a foot deep in metal conduit) to protect the system from electrical transients.

The 10164 cable requires a connection to 12 Vdc, a control port, CAO, or excitation channel to trigger the sample. To inhibit samples, a continuous voltage may be required, which would eliminate the use of the CAO or excitation channel.

Event marker signals from the connected sampler are measured using PulseCount in CRBasic or Instruction 3 (Pulse Count) in Edlog. Although the CR5000, CR7, and CR9000X are compatible with the 10164, their use in water quality applications is limited.

Yes. We have developed programs for controlling devices and collecting data remotely. Program examples and data logger wiring are provided in the 10164-L instruction manual. Contact Campbell Scientific for more information.

1X10^6 A431 cells were intracellularly stained with 0.4 ug Anti-Human Cytokeratin 13 (10164-2-AP) and CoraLite488-Conjugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L) at dilution 1:1000 (red), or 0.4 ug Isotype Control. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Perm Buffer (PF00011-C).

Keratin 13 is a member of the keratin family. The keratins are intermediate filament proteins responsible for the structural integrity of epithelial cells and are subdivided into cytokeratins and hair keratins. Most of the type I cytokeratins consist of acidic proteins which are arranged in pairs of heterotypic keratin chains. This type I cytokeratin is paired with keratin 4 and expressed in the suprabasal layers of non-cornified stratified epithelia. Mutations in keratin 13 gene and keratin 4 have been associated with the autosomal dominant disorder White Sponge Nevus. The type I cytokeratins are clustered in a region of chromosome 17q21.2.

There is a small difference in the balcony. The end unit will have a rounded off front edge because it is the end cabin on the ship. We had AD 10664 in November and our balcony was a bit smaller because of the cropped corner, compared to unit 10666 next to us. However, you will only have one shared wall, which in my opinion is far better than occupants on both sides!

We have these two rooms booked on the Gem which should probably be the same. If my recollection is correct, which confirms what the above poster said, the AD in the middle will have a 100sq ft balcony and the outside will be 88 sq feet (I think) but check this with NCL/TA for exact dimensions. Not a big difference...you may like not having neighbors on both sides. We opted for the inside one for the bigger balcony when we booked.

We had 10164 for our Alaska cruise and liked being on the end. The balcony held two lounge chairs, a table and a deck-straight chair. I never looked over to the other balcony to see if it was bigger as ours was plenty big.

Coffeecat - We have AD's 10166 and 10664 booked on the Pearl later this year. These rooms are great for the size, the amenities and the price! We would have booked the ones on the port side, but with the number 10666...we didn't want to risk it!

I am sure it doesn't make a lot of difference in the end as both rooms I am sure will be wonderful. I will try to make notes of the size differences when we sail....I can't imagine that the room sizes/configuration vary too much but we'll see.

In 2014 we stayed in 10166-I must say the "couch" in the room was not exactly what we expected. It was an oversized "plastic" chair. Not comfortable at all and frankly didn't look like it went with the rest of the dcor. Also...the furniture on the balcony had seen better days! The cushions on the lounge chairs on the balcony had seen better days for sure! The room itself was nice-we actually requested the bed be changed to two twins (traveling with my sister) and this was accomplished without any difficulty by the staff even prior to departure. We arranged the room with the long table placed in between the two beds therefore giving us extra space to put personal items. This year I actually booked 10164. I wanted to see if having an "end" room was any different. We are sailing in May so I will be glad to let you know if I see any difference. I agree with previous postings....both rooms...(any room on a cruise ship!!!) will be nice. All this being said....the staff on the Pearl addressed every issue we had and went above and beyond what we expected! Which is the reason I have selected The Pearl to cruise on once again!

I actually liked 10164 better due to the fact it was on the end. I liked sharing just the one wall. The view off the aft balcony is, without a doubt amazing. Having a Butler is pretty nice too. The room Steward was incredibly attentive. Can't wait to go back-I would book--same ship, same room, same destination---you will have a wonderful stay. I'm already saving for our next cruise to Alaska.

The PostgreSQL Global Development Group provided anout-of-cycle update release forall supported to provide a fix for the CVE-2019-10164 vulnerability. Thisvulnerability only affects people running PostgreSQL 10, 11 or the 12 beta, andit is effectively remediated by simply upgrading all of your PostgreSQLinstallations to the latest versions.

What follows is some more insight about what this vulnerability is, the impactit can have in your environment, how to ensure you have patched all of yoursystems, and provide some PostgreSQL security best practices that could helpmitigate the impact of this kind of vulnerability.

The good news: the attack can only be accomplished by a user who is alreadyauthenticated to your PostgreSQL server. Hopefully, you already have a certainlevel of trust of users who can directly access your databases, though, youshould still install the upgrade as soon as possible.

The good news: this attack can only be accomplished if you are connected to arogue PostgreSQL server, which is highly unlikely if you have sufficientlysecured your networking environment (though there have been a lot of recentexamples of DNS flaws that have lead to successful attacks, so you should alwayskeep checking the security of the various components that make up yourenvironment).

The reason that CVE-2019-10164 only affects PostgreSQL 10 and above is that thevulnerability exploited how passwords use forSCRAM authenticationare stored. Even if your system does not use SCRAM authentication, anauthenticated user could still exploit this security vulnerability, which is whyyou still need to upgrade.

As a rule of thumb, you should run thelatest minor releases ofwhichever version of PostgreSQL you are on, as they contain bug fixes and otherimprovements that help the overall stability of your database systems. Ofcourse, please test your applications on the updates before you roll out thechanges to your production systems.

If you are concerned about the possibility of your users connecting to rogueservers, you should use a strongclient verificationmode for server certificates, in particular verify-full, or anauthentication protocol that always verifies both client and server against eachother such as the GSSAPI (hat tip to Stephen Frost for the recommendation).

If you are using SCRAM authentication and want to secure againstman-in-the-middle attacks. PostgreSQL 11 introduced channel binding for SCRAM,which ensures that SCRAM authentication endpoints are the same as when theclient and server performed the initial SSL handshake. However, as it is arelatively new feature, you need to ensure that your connection driver supportschannel binding.
