I got MoM the day it came out because the music is one of my favorite things about the series. I unlocked all the songs and played them on proud before I set it down. I pick it back up here and there trying to play every song on every difficulty in performer mode, which has been a lot of fun. Lately I've been playing MoM more consistently and wanted to dive further into online play. Unfortunately, the search usually times out before I find any opponents. It's anyone around playing it still?

In the real world, a True Darkness encounters Luxu, who places a white-cloaked figure into the lifeboat and sends it into the future. Later, the escaped Keyblade wielders use the pods to reach the future, but Brain stays behind and meets Luxu; he is later seen carrying the Master's keyblade and box. Daybreak Town is destroyed, and the remaining Dandelions' Chirithies become Dream Eaters to protect their hearts. The player instead chooses to be reborn in a new vessel; many years later, they become Xehanort's mentor before passing away. The surviving Keyblade wielders each emerge in different time periods, though Skuld is unaccounted for. Later, Brain awakens in Scala ad Caelum, a town founded on the ruins of Daybreak Town by Ephemer.
The end has finally come. Kingdom Hearts Union χ[Cross] has now ceased all online gameplay and services worldwide. The title will be back up in English, but only via offline mode functionality. Players will be able to customize their avatars with various cosmetics, but no other gameplay features such as combat will be retained in this upcoming version of the app.
Kingdom Hearts Union χ is set hundreds of years before the series' events, in an era leading up to the Keyblade War. You control a newly minted Keyblade wielder in the 2D world of Daybreak Town who joins one of five factions and works to ensure its supremacy over the other four as they fight over the finite light available to the world. Union χ occurs shortly after Unchained χ, but in an alternate data world where the player relives the past to forget the Keyblade War. The game shut down in May 2021, but you can still watch cutscenes of it online. If gacha games are not your style, you can watch HD cutscenes of the events in the cinematic Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover, which is included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.
Additionally, some titles such as Kingdom Hearts Union X and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road are no longer playable because their online servers have been shut down. However, offline story-only versions of the games will still let you experience the stories - with Dark Road adding its final chapter later this year. You can also experience a very short segment of the Union X story in the X Back Cover cinematic.
Initially as a browser-based online multiplayer game, Kingdom Hearts Union X is a turn-based affair where players make their own Keyblade-wielding avatar in a world set in the distant past, way before the first Kingdom Hearts game.
On top of being able to play the story mode of Union X, players can expect to customise their avatar regardless of what they owned in the online version, allowing for a more freeform way to create your personal Keyblade wielder.
Speaking of which, all unlockable Keyblades will also be available for all players regardless of what was owned in the online version. Story Quests, online events, medal levelling and enhancement, and other playable parts of the game will no longer be available.
Besides that, players can also play the mini-games featured in the Classic Kingdom. The five mini-games that are currently available in the online version will transfer over to the offline version, with the online leaderboard being omitted.

I feel like I have a ton of stories about Kingdom Hearts and why it's important to me. The first game came out when I was in third grade, so the series has been a part of my life for well over half of it. I played the first one with my dad and brother, I've made friends in real life and online just because we both already loved the series, the first boy I had a crush on let me borrow his PSP for like a month because he wanted me to play Birth By Sleep and talk about it with him.
