to En Su Presencia

fatigaremos. (Isaías 40:

I love the LORD because He has heard my appeal for mercy. Because He
has turned His ear to me,
I will call out to Him as long as I live. (Psalm 116: 1)

There is a contemporary Christian song in Spanish that says, “If my
strength fails and I cannot go on. If all my people abandon me, I
still have you. I come into Your Presence to soothe all anxieties
away, and at the touch of Your Spirit I can dream again.” As I was
singing that song this morning I was reminded of Psalm 116, where the
psalmist confirms that we all experience pain, tribulation, the
“terrors of
Sheol”, anguish, and sadness. Yes, at some point, at some time, we
will find ourselves in that same spot, yet it does not mean that we
have to stay in it. Christ has invited to walk with Him, not to stay
stuck in one place. God’s Word also tells us that “those who trust in
the LORD will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like
eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not
faint. (Isaiah 40:31) Our God is a merciful and compassionate God.
He will guard and protect us. He will not allow for us to remain
defeated. So, rise up, man and woman of God; let us arise knowing and
trusting; let us go up to the mountain to bring a sacrifice of praise
and thanksgiving for all the benefits that the Holy One of Israel, the
Lord who is great and strong in battle, has bestowed upon us, for all
the blessings He will give us this day, and many more to come. Amen.
