2-17-11 Salmo 20 - Psalm 20

Que el SEÑOR te responda en el día de la angustia. Que el nombre del
Dios de Jacob te ponga en alto. Que desde el santuario te envíe ayuda,
y desde Sion te sostenga. Que se acuerde de todas tus ofrendas, y
halle aceptable tu holocausto. (Selah) Salmo 20: 1-3

Así comienza este Salmo de David que es una oración para recibir
victoria sobre los enemigos. Quizá en este momento todo parezca estar
bien y que no tenemos enemigos visibles y palpables. Sin embargo,
aunque no los veamos sabemos que para el cristiano cada día trae
batallas, dificultades y ataques de un enemigo que siempre está listo
y preparado para tendernos una emboscada.

Vamos ahora mismo a revestirnos con la armadura de Dios y declarar por
Su Palabra que Dios hoy concederá los deseos de nuestros corazones y
cumplirá todos nuestros anhelos. Hoy cantaremos con gozo por nuestra
victoria, y en el nombre de nuestro Dios alzaremos bandera. Le
pedimos al Señor que nos revele las estrategias que hemos de emplear
según se nos presentan situaciones, pruebas y tentaciones.
Reconocemos que las tentaciones son tretas que Satanás y sus legiones
utilizan para hacernos caer, pero las pruebas son oportunidades que se
nos presentan para aumentar nuestra fe. Así pues, el SEÑOR cumplirá
todas nuestras peticiones y sabremos que el SEÑOR salva a sus ungidos;
les responderá desde Su santo cielo, con la potencia salvadora de Su
diestra. Algunos confían en carros, y otros en caballos; mas nosotros
en el nombre del SEÑOR nuestro Dios confiaremos. Ellos se doblegaron
y cayeron; pero nosotros nos hemos levantado y nos mantenemos en pie.
¡Sálvanos, cuídanos y protégenos, oh SEÑOR! Que el Rey nos responda
el día que clamemos. Aleluya!!!

Pssst! No olvides lo que el Señor te dice, “¡Sé fuerte y valiente! No
temas ni te acobardes, porque el SEÑOR tu Dios estará contigo
dondequiera que vayas” (Josué 1:9)

May the LORD answer you in a day of trouble; may the name of Jacob's
God protect you. May He send you help from the sanctuary and sustain
you from Zion. May He remember all your offerings and accept your
burnt offering. Selah (Psalm 20: 1-4)

That’s the beginning of this Psalm of David that is also a prayer for
victory over enemies. Perhaps at this point in time everything in our
lives seems to be fine and we have no visible or palpable enemies.
However, though we may not always see them, we know that every day
brings its own battles, hardships, and attacks from an enemy that is
always ready and prepared to ambush us in any he can.

Let us put on the armor of God right now, and declare His Word that
God will give us the desires of our hearts and fulfill all our
desires. Today we shout for joy and thank the Lord in advance at our
victory, and lift the banner in the name of our God. We ask the Lord
to reveal the strategies that we will employ as we face situations,
trials, and temptations. We acknowledge that temptations are tricks
that Satan and his legions use to trip us and make us fall, but tests
are opportunities to increase our faith. So, may the LORD fulfill all
our requests, and we will know that the LORD gives victory to His
anointed; He will answer us from His holy heaven with mighty victories
from His right hand. Some take pride in a chariot, and others in
horses, but we take pride in the name of the LORD our God. They
collapse and fall, but we rise and stand firm.
LORD, give us the victory! May He answer us on the day that we
call. Hallelujah!

Pssst, remember this. “Haven't I commanded you: be strong and
courageous? Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is
with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1: 9)
