to En Su Presencia
tarde esa misma gente gritaría algo completamente diferente. Me parece
Él había venido a

“Many people spread their robes on the road, and others spread leafy
branches cut from the fields. Then those who went ahead and those who
followed kept shouting: Hosanna! Blessed is He who comes in the name
of the Lord! Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!
Hosanna in the highest heaven!” (Mark 11: 8-10)
Many were screaming “Hosanna, hosanna…”, “Save us, save us…” as Jesus
entered Jerusalem at the beginning of the week, and later on those
same people would be shouting something completely different. They
were disappointed when they saw Him get arrested by the end of the
week. They turned on Him and proceeded to deride and ridicule Him.
He came to save them, however it would not be in the manner that they
expected. They wanted Him to save them from the immediate oppressing
yoke of the Roman Empire. However, God’s plan was to save them from
the yoke of sin and eternal death.
How many of us today scream “Hosanna!!”, save us, Lord, from my
immediate and terrible circumstance? Then, when His plan does not
match our expectations we become rebellious and resentful, or we begin
to doubt our faith. STOP!!! His plans and His thought are not our
thoughts. His plans will always be better than ours and will have
eternal effect and consequences.
Let’s shout “Hosanna!!” and do so with understanding. Let’s shout
“Hosanna!” acknowledging His sovereignty over us, and recognizing that
His solution is infinitely better than ours.
