“But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will
worship the Father in spirit and truth. Yes, the Father wants such
people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must
worship in spirit and truth." (John 4: 23-24)

What happens when the excitement and the dopamine release from the
super-charged, energetic praise music program end? What is the
residual effect of the stirring sermons that are preached on Sunday?
These days I’ve elected to keep “things” rather simple. I sit on our
porch, in our little house, just the sounds of birds singing their
praises to the Lord, the trees dancing in concert to the tune of some
unheard melody sung by the wind, the occasional visit from a curious
iguana, and I thank the Lord for His blessing and provision, and I
worship Him. I like the way Matt Redman summarizes it in this song,

When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that's of worth
That will bless your heart

I'll bring you more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You're looking into my heart

¿Qué sucede cuando ya han pasado los efectos de las alabanzas y
cánticos que le dedicamos al Señor? ¿Cuál es el impacto de esos
sermones emocionantes y llenos de pasión que escuchamos los domingos?
Estos días elijo sentarme en el balcón de nuestra casita y meditar
mientras escucho los trinos cánticos de los pájaros que elevan una
alabanza matutina al Señor, al ver los árboles danzar al son de una
melodía inaudible que les trae la brisa, o con la inesperada visita de
una que otra iguana, entonces le doy gracias al Señor por Sus
bendiciones y por Su provisión y Le alabo. Me encanta la manera en
que Matt Redman resume la experiencia en este cántico,
