Excuse my presumption but in attempting to help a fellow ebook editor I explained how to use OOOFBTools to build footnotes. He found my explanation useful and I've attached a copy in case anyone else will find it useful.
It's intended to be opened in OOO or LO and contains a working example.
Overall the tools provided by OOOFBTools are incredibly useful even when the aim is to build an EPUB book, something that seems to be overlooked by many folk.
