Hello!

I am using emutrix 0.3.1 with 1616m PCIe (ALSA hw:1). I am on kernel
3.2.0-1/alsa-driver 1.0.24 and alsa-firmware 1.0.25. I am running
jackd1 with output device "Multichannel Playback" (hw:1,3); there, I
see 16 output ports "playback 1-16".

I would like to route playback clients individually to either one of
to dock DAC1 Left/Right and Dock Phones Left/Right.

However, Phones always play what is routed to Dock DAC1 L/R.

Is this a limitation of the ALSA firmware?

Greetings,
Tilman.

Hello Tilman,

There is, of course, the 'Phones' column in the matrix, I never tested it, though, because I only had a 1212m card.
The mixer offered by the ALSA firmware has lots of options (and some very confusing naming). You might want to see if you can get results tweaking it with alsamixer (basic options only) or amixer.

Regards

Hello Tilman, for what I know, this is a limitation inside the dock, if
I remember right, the dock has the same behaviour under windows/patchmix.

Hello Camilo,

I understand. Thank you very much!

I currently am trying to get in touch with ALSA emu10k1 developers to
sort out if the dock gets properly initialized. Rumors ([1]) tell me
that the 1616PCI_E_ has different hardware from the ones previously
tested with the currently available firmwares.

Do you think it is possible that the card exposes a "Phones" mixer, but
it does not work because the dock is not properly initialized?

Kind regards,
Tilman.
