I had previously tested with a CTL node and 1 COMPUTE node and I was able to spin up 2 VMs on the compute node and assign floating IPs to them.

I am now interested in two instances that are on two separate compute nodes. I thus created an OpenStack profile experiment with 1 CTL and 2 compute nodes. This worked fine. I con't find a way to specify on which physical compute node I wanted to spin up each of my two instances. However, it appears that they were allocated by the system to be on different physical nodes, so I am good there. But this time I seem to not have Floating IPs that I can allocate from. I tried  "Allocate IP to Project" button, but there it brought me to a screen where I didn't know what to put in DNS Domain and DNS Name.

ANy hints welcome.

So still not sure how to ssh into my instances as I don't seem to have any Floating IPs that I can assign to them. Also, the network topology mentions a

155.98.37.90 and  .91 addersses on the ext-net for the 2 routers, but it appears my CTL and CP-1 CP-2 nodes are on 155.98.36.12/30 network?   (I may be getting confused about subnet masks here...)

May be I should release this and restart the experiment, this time paying careful attention to Floating IPs pool allocation....

Hi Gautam. We have an OpenStack tutorial in our documentation. Take a
look at Step 9 of this section (allocating floating IPs to your
instance):
https://docs.cloudlab.us/openstack-tutorial.html#%28part._openstack-tutorial-instances%29
... that should help.
