I am currently facing an issue where I am unable to SSH into my Emulab nodes. The error message I receive is:
Cannot load /users/andria/.ssh/id_rsa
I’m unsure whether I accidentally deleted the path or the file, but I have already tried to resolve the issue by uploading my SSH key again through the "Manage SSH Keys" interface on Emulab. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem.

Could you kindly assist me in resolving this issue so I can ssh access my nodes again?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

Hi. You will need to provide a link to your experiment status
page so we can assist you.

OK thanks. So are you having problems trying to log into your
nodes from your “home” location? Or problems logging in between
nodes in the experiment? Are you forwarding your ssh key via
a forwarding agent?

A good thing to do in this case is use the -v option to ssh
and send us the log. Be sure not to include any passwords in
the log.

I tried both opening the shell from the Emulab website and running SSH from my local PC. From the website, I got the error shown in the image, and from my local PC, I received the output of the file out.txt when I ran SSH.

Hi. Regarding the first, have you tried it in the last
couple of minutes. I noticed that files from your .ssl
and .ssh directory were missing. You should leave both
of these directories alone since they are managed by
our infrastructure.

I regenerated the missing files a couple of minutes ago.
Does that work now?

Hi. OK try again. Your home dir and .ssh dir had modified
owner and permission bits that cause sshd to reject all access.
You should avoid changing stuff like this. :-)

Now it's OK, it was a short-lived issue. Thanks!
