Hi,

I recently bought Speccy Deluxe, and have noticed that I can't seem to load games quickly. I've redefined the fast forward button, and have to hold it down to speed up loading, but a lot of the time the games don't actually load (Uridium, Afterburner and plenty of others, most notably speedlock games fail).

Most modern emulators have an instant load function, is there some functionality in Speccy Deluxe or do I have to wait 5 minutes like in the old days?

Cheers,
Steve

If you are unhappy about tape loading times, please, use snapshots (.z80/.sna) instead.

Speccy will automatically fast-load tape data accessed via standard Spectrum routines. Non-standard tape data is being loaded at its natural speed, since Speccy cannot know what the custom loading routine expects.
