Hello, All!

I have published VGB-Android 3.7.13, a new version of my GameBoy Color and GameBoy Classic emulator for Android:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.vgb

This version fixes several crash sources, finally finds a permanent place for the File Selector toolbar, and add five more games to the Cheatopedia: Megaman games and Mario sports games.

ALL CHANGES:
* Fixed File Selector toolbar at the bottom of the screen.
* Fixed situation where some people got empty file lists in File Selector.
* Fixed possible crash in the Cheat Editor.
* Fixed a rare crash when reporting failed license check.
* Added Megaman, Megaman 2, and Megaman 3 to the Cheatopedia.
* Added Mario Golf and Mario Tennis to the Cheatopedia.

I have a problem, vgb doesn't seem to run patched rom with IPS. But it is able to run original GBC rom

This most likely happens because your .ips patch did not update cartridge CRC/CMP to the correct values. VGB always verifies cartridge CRC/CMP values and refuses to run a game if these values are incorrect.

You should either correct CRC/CMP of your patched file, or provide .ips patch separately from the original .gbc file - VGB can apply .ips patches on its own.

how do I disable CRC/CMP Check permanently?

There is no way to disable CRC check permanently. I may disable it in the oncoming VGB versions, given that users do not understand what it is, but it is generally not the best idea to skip CRC check.

Ok thanks I was able to find a working ips file. By the way game link can be done via: bluetooth? is it compatible using wifi hotspot?
The GameLink cannot be established via Bluetooth, but if you and your friend are connected to the same WiFi hotspot, the GameLink should work over that.

what If I'm the server of hotspot?

I do not see why it should be a problem.

I'm currently also playing pokemon crystal, but it seems the clock stops after I exit the game. It is not real time anymore

The clock "stops" because VGB freezes your game position every time you exit the app and returns back to exactly the same point when you restart. In order to make the clock "tick" while you are not playing, go into Settings and disable "Save State on Exit" option. This also means you will have to rely on in-game saves instead of having your game position saved automatically on exit.
