I have a Nokia E51 phone, firmware version 220.34.37, and I get sound
stutter in Speccy, regardless of the in-application sound settings.
I've tried reducing and extending the latency, disabling various video
settings, to no avail. All I can hear is various degrees of sound
stutter, with increasingly larger pauses as the sound latency setting
decreases. Extending the latency to 500 ms doesn't help, it even
garbles the sound completely. I have no other apps running on the
mobile at the same time, It seems to be dependant of some software-
emulated hardware interruptions. I noticed the same effect on the PC
but with an old emulator running under MS-DOS, the solution for that
version (corrected in the updated versions) was to halt the screen
refresh via hotkey. Some other DOS and even Windows emulators do not
exibit this behaviour nowadays.
What is the cause, and is it correctable ?
I have no other phones available to test with.

The Speccy "beeper" sound is very hard to emulate correctly and I
still have not got it right on any of the platforms. For a partial
solution, go into application menu (right softkey) and enable "Wave to
Melody" feature.
